House training my puppy
House training can be challenging. The main key is to be very consistent! Do not give your puppy free rein of the house unless your eyes are on him. If you will be busy, put him in his crate. He may cry at first but soon that will be his safe place. Take him out as soon as he is up from nap and after every feeding as well as several other times throughout the day. Take him out the same door and say the same words. When he potties outside highly praise him and give him a treat. Something as simple as plain cheerios is fine. If he does potty in the house immediately take him outside and let him know that was supposed to happen outside. Some find having a bell at the door and letting him ring it each time he goes outside is helpful.
